Amplified Breakfast Oats

We have all seen it before, either in our favourite healthy eatery or vitamin shop, the ever so delicious smoothie bowls! Packed with macronutrients, immune and energizing superfoods, what is not to love about this healthy treat? Granted, they can get pretty pricey to indulge in regularly, plus a lot of prep work, oy! Well, if you are like me and want to stay happy and energized on a budget, here is a simple way to prep a healthy breakfast for your work weeks!

What you will need:

4 cups Coconut milk (or another alternative milk of your preference)

Two scoops of protein powder

4 tbsp Chia seeds (ground or whole)

2 cups of fruit (strawberries, apples, or blueberries are great)

2 cups Rolled oats

4 tbsp Hemp seeds (optional)

Four 500ml glass jars (or for how many days of the week you work)

What to do:

  1. Pour 1 cup of coconut milk, 1/2 scoop of protein powder, and 1 tbsp of chia seeds into each jar. Screw the lid on tightly and give them all a thorough shake.

  2. Add a half cup of fruit (I love blueberries or chopped apples) to each jar.

  3. Top up with 1 tbsp hemp seed plus a 1/2 cup rolled oats to each.

  4. Seal up jars and pop in the fridge until ready to eat/pack for breakfast!

Makes: Four servings

Takes: 10-15 minutes

See, I told you it was simple! Easy to make and provides the energy you need to face the day!
